Aberdeen Angus Youth Development Programme Final
Perth 2008

The South West of England were well represented in the final of the Society's Youth Development Project at Perth in February. It is the first time young people from our area have made it this far. The standard as expected was very high and although they did not win we were very proud of their acheivement, Thea Woollatt and Emma Smith in the senior class and Jessica Denning in the intermediate class. The participants had to attend a training day, attain some showing experience and complete some written work. At the final, they had to show senior bulls which they had not seen before which is not an easy task.

Anyone under the age of 26 who wishes to take part in this brilliant initiative that teaches young people a diverse range of skills should contact the Aberdeen Angus Society.
