Herds stretching from Penzance in Cornwall to Andover in Hampshire
entered the 2008 Club Herd Competition. This year we were honoured to
have Ian Anderson, a renowned Stockman now residing in Ayrshire, acting
as our judge. The herds were split into 3 sections, small, medium and
large, based on the number of cows calved in 2008. The judging took
place at the end of September and the results were announced at the
Club Lunch on 26th October. Below are Mr Anderson's comments on his judging task. |
